Vadim’s research is centered on understanding how galaxies form and evolve. He explores this problem by running and analyzing supercomputer simulations of galaxies. His previous and current work focuses on the origin of inefficient star formation in galaxies and the scaling relations between star formation rates and gas content, modeling interstellar turbulence, star formation, and various forms of stellar feedback, as well as a variety of topics in computational methods related to galaxy formation. Vadim received his PhD from the University of Chicago before joining the ITC in 2019.
