Betty is a graduate student in the Physics Department at Harvard University. Her advisor is Prof. Loeb. She studies black-hole-related astrophysical phenomena, such as collisions between supermassive black holes and between the stars surrounding them. Her work is largely theoretical but also takes advantage of existing data in order to inform and constrain various theories.
