His research concerns the formation and evolution of supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies:  how they were formed, how they accrete matter, and how this accretion process feeds back on the galaxy.  Angelo's research involves cosmological simulations, semi-analytic models of the black hole-galaxy connection, ballistic simulations of tidal disruption events, and predictions for the Event Horizon Telescope.  He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley in 2013, and his PhD at Yale University in 2019.
