ITC fellow Benedikt Diemer and textile specialist Isaac Facio undertook an arts and science collaboration, which was recently exhibited in Savannah, GA
The projects focuses on the simulations of the cosmic web of dark matter (which provides the the background image of this site). However, the aim was to go beyond the sheer visualization of simulation data, and try to explore new ways to connect the shapes of dark matter with unconventional materials such as three-dimensional woven textiles.
