Know anyone aged 13 to 18 with interest in life sciences, physics, or mathematics?

We hope you can spread the word about the 2017 Breakthrough Junior Challenge! It will start soon and has significant prizes for explanations of big ideas in math and science.

The full details, rules and timeline of events for this year’s Challenge are now listed on our website at https://breakthroughjuniorchallenge.org.

You will be able to submit your application, including your video submission, starting on September 1st until the deadline on October 1st.

THE CHALLENGE

Students ages 13 to 18 from countries across the globe are invited to participate.
Choose a concept or theory in life sciences, physics or mathematics, that’s important to understand but challenging to explain.
Create a short video (no more than 3 minutes) to get the idea across in an engaging, illuminating, and imaginative way.
PRIZES
$250,000 college scholarship
$50,000 prize for winner’s teacher
$100,000 Breakthrough Prize science lab for winner’s school
