The ages of stars
Stellar ages are critical to understanding the formation history of the Milky Way and the evolution of planetary systems,
but the ages of stars are extremely difficult to measure. In this talk I will discuss recent advances in dating main
sequence stars, particularly in the field of gyrochronology (rotation-dating). I will also describe methodology used to
combine different dating methods, and how combining information can improve the precision and accuracy of stellar
ages and all stellar parameters.
